Kate is well known in the Australian executive wellbeing, coaching and workplace mental health sectors. She is a highly respected Masters qualified psychologist who has worked in C-Suite positions in corporate psychology & wellbeing and professional services firms. With 30+ years of experience supporting the mental health & wellbeing of individuals, teams and organisations, Kate has been advising and driving thought leadership in the workplace mental health & wellbeing space way before it became “the flavour of the month” to do so.
Kate was the first “in-house” psychologist in the Australian professional services sector, when she commenced at one of the Big 4 consulting firms in 2015, departing as Chief Mental Health Officer after 8 years of tenure. In this role Kate provided confidential wellbeing and mental health support to partners Australia wide.
As CEO of a national employee assistance and corporate psychology services provider, Kate has experienced first-hand the demands of executive leadership. She leverages this experience, along with her psychology and well-being subject matter expertise, to bring a high level of empathy and understanding to the coaching she provides to leaders of all levels. Kate has proven her capacity to connect and drive positive change across the range of complex challenges leaders face in today’s world.
With a Masters in Counselling Psychology, her approach is anchored in the power of meaningful connection and creating psychological safety quickly, resulting in an honesty and openness for which clients express a deep appreciation. Kate’s playful style and warmth also enables moments of laughter and positive emotion when needed most.
Kate has supported hundreds of partners and leaders to reflect and drive their own mental health & wellbeing, from critical moments of risk, through to boosting individual performance in 1:1 coaching. Kate is passionate about the role leaders play to establish safe settings in their teams and promotes the importance of healthy “work-life” design.
Kate is on the Board of the Emergency Services Foundation (ESF), and Chairs ESF’s Mental Health Advisory Group. Outside of work, Kate spends as much time as she can with her much-loved cavoodle, “Jed” – named in honour of three of Kate’s favourite things…”The West Wing”, Fremantle Football Club and all things Star Wars.
